Special Considerations for Texas Residents or Those Serving in Texas
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has made special provisions for
Texas residents serving elsewhere while in the military and those from other
states serving in Texas.
Emerging Learner Video Resources
The DCCCD-produced video series (total running time of 90 minutes) helps
introduce the concept of distance learning and provides tips and insight into

Sound the Bugle: The Call for Voluntary Education
Voluntary education programs for U.S. service members date to George Washington
at Valley Forge. This 15 minute video chronicles the history of voluntary
education, some of its key pioneers and the advent of Service members Opportunity
Colleges. The DCCCD-produced video is based on the painstaking research of Drs.
Steve Kime and Clinton "Andy" Anderson.
